MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

My dear friends and family of Rotary,

It is with great honour and enthusiasm that I step into the role of President of the Rotary Club of Gachie for the upcoming year. As we embark on this journey together, I am filled with optimism and a profound sense of purpose. Our club’s mission has always been to serve our community and beyond, and this year, we aim to amplify our impact even further.

Our theme for the year, “Agents of Change,” reflects our commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those around us. We are not just passive observers but active participants in creating a better world. This year, we have set ambitious goals that align with our core values.

This year, we want to focus on the following projects:

  1. Endowment Fund: As part of my legacy, I am committed to establishing an endowment fund for our club. This fund will serve as a vehicle for financial stability, ensuring that our club can continue its good deeds for generations to come. It will provide a lasting source of funding to support our projects and initiatives well into the future.
  2. Muya Primary School Kitchen Project: We will build a functional kitchen for Muya Primary, the best public school in our constituency, at a cost of KES 500,000. This project will ensure that students have access to nutritious meals, enhancing their learning environment.
  1. Ablution Block Upgrades: We aim to upgrade the boys’ toilet facilities at Ndenderu Primary and Wangunyu Primary with an investment of KES 2.4 million. Improved sanitation will promote better health and hygiene for the students.
  1. Kihara L4 Hospital Support: We want to provide five morgue trolleys and improve the hospital’s infrastructure. Additionally, we plan to acquire an industrial laundry machine and a 3-phase generator to support the hospital’s life dependency equipment, with a total investment of KES 2.2 million.

Our efforts this year are guided by the overarching themes of our larger Rotary family. We celebrate “100 Years of Service in Africa,” a testament to Rotary’s enduring commitment to the continent.

As we move forward, I encourage each of you to engage actively with our projects and initiatives. Your participation, whether through time, resources, or expertise, is invaluable. Together, we can achieve our goals and make a significant impact.

Thank you for your continued support and dedication. Let’s work together to make this year one of the most impactful and fulfilling in our club’s history. Together, we are “Agents of Change,” bringing hope, support, and transformation to our community and beyond.

Warm regards,

The 7th
