The Rotary Club of Gachie, in its usual fashion celebrated the start of a new Rotary Year and the installation of President Gary Ananda and his board of directors amid colour and cheer at the Lake Naivasha resort. Themed a denim-on-denim affair, it was hard to miss the presence of club members, family and friends as every person in attendance aimed to please, effortlessly responding to the dress-code and lending to an air of comradery and celebration.
It was a good time to recognize milestones and achievements of the previous year and indeed the individual contribution of every valuable member and to rally for commitment in the coming year towards service above self. President Ananda, who when called upon, agreed to serve a 2nd consecutive term also recognized efforts of individual members who went over and above to serve in their respective committees in the past year, giving hope and morale to inject more contribution within club committees.
In keeping true to District 9212 new year theme “Let’s March Together”, PDG Patrick Obath while presiding over the installation ceremony passionately called on members to act as a collective and to display commitment, reminding members of the importance and subsequent effect of participation in Rotary projects, meetings and events.
We look forward to a steady growth of our club with quality members dedicated and committed to exemplary service in the new rotary year, even as we #imaginerotary and march together towards a common good.
